How it all started

Earth Monkey permaculture came about after many years of suffering from mental health problems, I found that being outside in nature gave me the feeling of being connected and grounded, a sense of belonging. I soon became passionate about all things growing, with many successes but as many failures also. This helped enormously in building my resilience, patience & confidence, in return showing my appreciation to the planet, environment & nature I started growing ethically & organically adopting permaculture principles to create sustainable symbiotic, syntropic ecosystems. To the best of my ability, I only use heritage and heirloom varieties, using perrenials wherever I can for year on year sustainable seed & harvest production. All my plants have been grown in my own organic compost, using filtered rainwater and worm juice to create healthy strong resistant plants.

This is where the journey begins

The passion for knowledge grew, sustainable living for all, to help nature heal the planet. Permaculture, the simplistic common sense way forward, observe nature and copy it.

So in the early part of 2022 I obtained my permaculture design certificate in September of that year. I now assist others in all aspects of permaculture design, from a small raised bed, gardens & allotments, to smallholdings and farmland.

Spreading knowledge through learning within the communities

This is one of the most important aspects that is crucial if we are to have any positive impact globally, having the time, resources, and the ability to offer educational training to the local communities and beyond.
